Restaurants and bars
Restaurant and bar POS on LINGA, a platform built for restaurants
Restaurants do not run like retail. This is a separate pathway built on LINGA, not a retail system with a menu bolted on.
Remote setup and training nationwide. Onsite service across Tampa Bay.
Which POS system does BizTracker recommend for a restaurant or bar?
For restaurants and bars BizTracker uses LINGA rather than the Infinity retail platform, because table service, tabs, courses, kitchen routing and online ordering are different problems from shelf inventory. The implementation, training and support model is the same.
Keeping the two pathways separate is deliberate. A retail platform stretched over a restaurant workflow disappoints both, and the honest answer to "can Infinity run my bar" is that it is the wrong tool.
- Table and tab workflowOrders are open for a long time and change while open.
- Kitchen routingThe kitchen needs the order, not the receipt.
- Online and kiosk orderingOff-premise is a channel, not an exception.
- Same implementation and support modelThe platform differs; how we install and support it does not.
A store that is mostly packaged retail with a small food counter may be better served by the retail platform. That is a scoping question, not a preference.

Restaurant POS questions
Can I use Infinity for my restaurant?
We would not recommend it. Infinity is a retail platform, and restaurants get LINGA instead — table service, tabs, kitchen routing and online ordering are genuinely different problems.
Is the support the same as the retail side?
Yes. The platform differs; the implementation, training and support model does not.
I run a store with a small food counter. Which one?
That depends on where the volume and the complexity sit. It is a scoping conversation rather than a preference, and we will say which fits after looking.
Can processing be integrated?
Yes, and it is worth doing for the same reason as in retail: one system to reconcile and one number to call.
What is LINGA POS?
LINGA is the restaurant POS platform BizTracker uses for restaurants and bars. It handles table service, tabs, courses, kitchen routing and online ordering, which is why restaurants do not go through Infinity, the retail platform.
What kinds of restaurant is it for?
Full-service restaurants, quick-service counters and bars: businesses whose day is tables, tabs, counter orders, kitchen tickets and online orders.
Can orders go to a kitchen display instead of a printer?
Yes. Orders can route to a kitchen display rather than to a printed ticket, so the kitchen works from the order as it was placed.
Do online orders come into the same system?
Yes. Online orders route into the same system rather than arriving on a separate tablet that somebody re-keys during service.
Does BizTracker set up restaurant systems outside Tampa Bay?
Yes. Restaurant systems follow the same implementation and support model as retail: setup and training can be handled remotely nationwide, with onsite installation and service across Tampa Bay.
