About BizTracker

A POS software and support company that also sells the hardware

BizTracker has been working on point-of-sale technology since 1996. We sell systems, and the larger part of the job is everything around them: choosing the right one, setting it up, teaching people to use it and answering the phone afterwards.

Since 1996. A Tampa Bay office and showroom, and remote implementation nationwide.

What does BizTracker actually do?

We help businesses run point of sale, inventory, reporting and payments — as one environment rather than as four purchases. That means the software, the hardware on the counter, the item file behind it, the payment path, the training and the support after go-live. Equipment is part of it and it is not the part that decides whether a system succeeds.

The reason we lead with that is unglamorous: a POS project usually fails somewhere other than the equipment. An item file nobody set up properly, staff who were shown the system once, a number to call that stopped being answered.

  • Point of sale since 1996Long enough to have seen how these projects go wrong.
  • Software, hardware and support togetherSplit across three vendors, every fault becomes an argument.
  • Understand the business firstThe system should fit the way the shop runs, not the reverse.
  • A Tampa Bay office and showroomSome questions are answered by standing in front of a system.

Onsite service is a Tampa Bay service. Everywhere else, implementation and support are remote, and we would rather say so here than at the moment somebody needs a visit.

The facts

What we sell, where we work, and when support is available

The things worth knowing before choosing a POS company, stated plainly.

  • Infinity for retail, LINGA for restaurants

Retail stores run Infinity, and restaurants and bars run LINGA. What the business sells decides the platform before anything else is specified.

    Infinity POS
  • Complete systems

Software, counter hardware, payments, setup, training and support, specified together rather than sold as separate purchases.

    Complete POS systems
  • Remote nationwide, onsite in Tampa Bay

Systems are sold nationwide, and set up and supported remotely wherever the store is. Onsite service and the showroom are in Tampa Bay.

    Showroom and remote implementation
  • Stated support hours

Standard support hours are weekdays 9–5. Support is not 24/7, and the support page sets out what it covers and what it costs.

    Support
  • Bold or Hybrid for card processing

Card processing for an Infinity system runs through Bold or Hybrid, and a current statement is read before either is recommended.

    Merchant processing
  • Compatibility checked by model

Existing scanners, printers, drawers and scales are checked by model number before anyone says they carry over.

How we work

What actually happens, in order

The same five steps whether the store is down the road or across the country.

  • Review the operation

Checkout, payments, inventory, item file, reports, cash handling and hardware, as they are today.

    Get a POS review
  • Plan software and hardware

Match the platform, the lane count and the peripherals to how the business runs.

    Build a POS system
  • Set up and test

Scanning, printing, payments, drawers and labels, tested before anybody depends on them.

    Installation and training
  • Train the people

Checkout, lookups, returns, discounts, drawer procedure and the reports managers will use.

  • Support after go-live

The part that matters longest, and the part a store feels every week.

    Support

What businesses come to us with

  • The websites all promise the same things

Comparison becomes impossible and the decision gets made on price alone.

We describe the work rather than the feature list, and say plainly where a system would not suit.

    Get a POS review
  • The current system is unsupported

A fault becomes an emergency, because there is nobody left to call.

We take over support for existing equipment where we can and plan a replacement where we cannot.

    Replace an existing POS
  • The software, hardware and payments are three vendors

Each one points at the other two and the store is in the middle of it.

One system and one number to call, including processing where it makes sense.

    Merchant processing
  • Nobody planned for the day it goes down

The lane stops, and so does the trading day.

The network, what the lane does when payments stop, and who gets called are settled in the plan rather than afterward.

About BizTracker

How long has BizTracker been in business?

We have been working with point-of-sale technology since 1996.

Is BizTracker a local company?

We have a local office and showroom in Tampa Bay and support businesses across the area onsite. We also sell and implement nationwide, remotely.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes, in Tampa Bay. You can see a complete system running with its peripherals attached before deciding on one.

Do you only sell cash registers?

No. We are a POS software and support company that also sells and supports registers and hardware. The software and the support are the larger part of the work.

Can you install and train staff?

Yes — setup, item file planning, hardware installation and training for staff and managers. Remotely nationwide, or onsite across Tampa Bay.

Can you help replace an old POS system?

Yes, including reviewing what you have now, planning the change, converting the data where the old system will export it, and running the switch.

What kinds of business do you support?

Grocery, convenience, liquor and specialty retail stores on Infinity, and restaurants and bars on LINGA, through a separate pathway.

Tell us about the business, not about the software

How the store runs, what it sells and what is getting in the way. That is the conversation that produces a useful recommendation.
