Infinity supports Scale items whose value is generated by a weighing device connected to Infinity POS. Tare can be stored for scale items when container weight must be subtracted. The exact scale and label workflow still has to be verified model by model.

How does Infinity handle items sold by weight?
Infinity has a Scale item type for products whose final value is calculated when they are weighed by a connected scale.
The stock item record can also carry a tare so container weight is removed from the priced weight. Compatibility, barcode formats and label behavior depend on the particular scale and POS configuration, so those are verified against the actual model before quoting.
