SAM4s & Samsung Customer Display Replacement Guide

Older Samsung and SAM4s 2-line customer pole displays are often replaceable with a current SAM4s 2 x 20 VFD display, but only when the host register/POS supports the required interface and display command set.

Current SAM4s options

CRS 503000 — serial SAM4s pole display
CRS 503010 — USB SAM4s pole display

What must match

Interface type, connector/cable, baud/communication settings, power, software support and display emulation. A display is not a guaranteed replacement merely because it is also 2 x 20.
