SAM4s ER-5200M Replacement

The SAM4s ER-5200M is discontinued. CRS lists it as a 160-key flat-key commercial ECR with dual thermal receipt/journal printers, a 2-line operator display, two RS-232 ports and optional scanning.

Best current replacement: SAM4s ER-940E

Classification: closest current fit. The ER-940E retains the flat-key, dual-printer commercial-ECR concept and adds current Ethernet payment-integration support.

Why it is not a drop-in replacement

Programming files, key layouts, scanner/scale interfaces, cables and payment hardware must be reviewed. Do not assume old peripherals or programs transfer unchanged.
