SAM4s ER-420M Replacement

The SAM4s ER-420M belongs to the older ER-4xx family and uses a traditional raised-key layout with more advanced memory and programming than the small entry-level ECRs of its era.

Best current starting point: SAM4s ER-260EJ

Classification: closest current fit. For merchants using the ER-420M as a conventional raised-key register, the ER-260EJ is the nearest current compact ECR starting point.

When a larger replacement is better

If the old ER-420M installation relied on extensive peripherals, higher PLU counts, polling, scanning or restaurant-style functions, an ER-900E/SPS model or modern POS may be a better fit. BizTracker should review the workflow before replacement.
