What is an eWIC POS system?
An eWIC POS system lets an authorized retailer take electronic WIC benefits at the lane while applying the program’s product, tender and receipt rules. Infinity supports eWIC workflows through approved configurations, and whether a particular store can transact depends on its WIC authorization, its state or tribal agency, the processor, the payment device and the configuration those agree on.
What a store is really buying is one checkout that can handle a mixed basket: WIC and non-WIC items scanned in the same lane, eligibility resolved from the item file, the benefit balance applied and the remainder tendered another way — each part confirmed against the store’s own agency, processor and device before go-live.

These are jurisdictions whose own published material names Infinity. Public lists change, and being named on one does not authorize a store: the agency does that, for the store.
California
California WIC’s certified point-of-sale list includes Infinity POS. California also requires a WIC vendor to have an on-site terminal certified to transact the California WIC Card.
Washington
Washington’s POS Systems Supporting eWIC document lists Infinity POS as certified. Stores still go through vendor authorization, POS testing and training.
Wisconsin
Wisconsin DHS lists Infinity United Commerce among the electronic cash register systems named for WIC vendor applicants.
Oregon
Oregon tells applicants to check the state’s eWIC Certified Systems list before applying, and its readiness assessment asks for the POS system and version, the processor, the scanner and the lane count. We check that list for the store rather than state a certification here.

Does Infinity support eWIC?
Infinity supports eWIC workflows through approved configurations. Whether a particular store can use them depends on its WIC authorization, its state or tribal agency, the software configuration, the processor and the payment device.
What is a “WIC machine”?
It is how retailers usually describe the equipment that takes WIC benefits. In an integrated store that is the retail POS and its approved payment path, not a separate checkout beside the register.
Can one POS take SNAP EBT and eWIC?
It can where the store, processor, software and device are approved for both, but the two programs have separate requirements and we verify them separately.
Is Infinity eWIC certified in my state?
That is answered from the current agency record for your jurisdiction, together with the Infinity configuration and the payment device. Public material currently names Infinity in California, Washington and Wisconsin; other states run their own readiness or certification process, and Oregon asks applicants to check its certified-systems list.
Do we have to be a WIC-authorized retailer already?
The POS does not replace vendor authorization. Where a store is not yet authorized, the state or tribal WIC agency controls that application.
What does eWIC have to do with the item file?
Benefits apply to eligible products, so the item file is part of the implementation: the POS has to work from the program’s approved product rules and the store’s own records.
Can BizTracker replace an eWIC system we already run?
Yes, once the store, agency, processor, payment device and item file are reviewed. The plan keeps the store trading while the new lanes are configured and tested.
We are a grocery store with scales. Does that change anything?
It adds the weighing side to the same project: scales, weighed-item barcodes and labels are tested with the register alongside the eWIC path, and each depends on the store’s own configuration.
