SAM4s / Samsung ER-600 & ER-600R Replacement

The ER-600 / ER-600R was an unusually flexible modular Samsung/SAM4s ECR with a large programmable keyboard, 8-line operator display and multiple serial/IRC connections. Older manuals appear under both Samsung and SAM4s branding.

Best current starting point: SAM4s SPS-320

Classification: closest current fit, workflow review required. The SPS-320 is the closest current keyboard-driven commercial register for merchants that used the ER-600 as a flexible food-service or retail ECR.

Why this needs review

The ER-600's modular architecture, 98-key programming, multiple serial ports and external-printer/peripheral workflows can differ substantially from current all-in-one ECRs. If the old system used complex kitchen printing, IRC networking or modular placement, a modern POS may be the better replacement.
