SAM4s ER-290 Replacement

The SAM4s ER-290 is discontinued and CRS lists it as parts-only. It was a low-cost thermal ECR with 200 PLUs, 12 departments, a single 58 mm thermal printer and basic daily/period reporting.

Best current replacement: SAM4s ER-180U

Classification: closest current fit. The ER-180U is the closest current compact, single-printer ECR in the CRS lineup for straightforward department/PLU operation.

Why this is not a direct swap

The ER-180U has different programming, memory, display and hardware. Existing programs and accessories should not be assumed to transfer.
